Wee William

Hi Deb

Since we last wrote, William has become a model! We had a photo shoot on Sunday in preparation for our wedding in August, and William of course took the starring role now he’s such an important member of our little family! As you can see, he’s had a growth spurt recently so he’s now almost a normal-sized small dog! He’s been a star pupil at dog school, and his favourite thing is agility – the trainer thinks he has gold medal potential!

Getting William from SAFE is without doubt the best thing we’ve ever done. He makes our house a happy place, and brings us so much joy and love. He loves having the garden to himself in the day times, especially when he can get away with a bit of digging. Mike has had to get him his own sand pit to indulge that habit! And in the evenings, his favourite place is either being cuddled by me, or being up on Mike’s shoulder in what we call the “parrot” position (see photo number 9)! His other favourite places are the beach, for digging of course, and the dog park where we spend lots of time with people trying to work out what mix of breeds he might possibly be!

We tell as many people as we can about petrescue.com, and about SAFE, because part of what brings us so much happiness with William is that we have been able to give him a good life from an uncertain start. It was lovely to see a feature about one of William’s brothers on your site recently too, and funny to see he’s ended up living near us. We’re hoping to go and look for him at their local park one day soon, for a bit of a family reunion!

So, thank you so very much for introducing us to our little friend, and for all you do to get little chaps like William to a happy home.

From Emma, Mike and William James!

Hi Sue

We wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how well Bailey, now called William, is settling in with us. He really is so adorable. From when he first hopped out of his airline crate he was inquisitive, chirpy, and such a clever little boy. Sleeping through the night and toilet training are already a breeze, we’re very proud of him! I’ve attached some pics, including one after he got under the sprinklers(!), and hoped you’d also pass on our thanks to Shelley for doing such a great job caring for him.

Once he grows up a bit, we’d love to send in a little good news story on William for your website. Again, thanks for helping us to find our new best friend.
