Amber to the Rescue!

Congratulations to Amber for winning the Community Pet Watch Award!

Amber was driving home from work one evening, when she spotted a wandering dog.  The Labrador looked lost and more than a little distressed.  Amber decided she couldn’t leave him to fend for himself in the traffic so she bundled him into her car and took him home.  While the Labrador was enjoying the attention of these new people and filling his hungry tummy, Amber called SAFE to report finding this gorgeous boy.  SAFE told Amber a Labrador named Samson that matched his description had been reported lost.

Later that evening, Samson was picked up by SAFE and was taken back to his grateful owner. The owner was so pleased to have Samson back they contacted Amber to thank her for her efforts. Every now and then Amber’s family still visits Samson.  Amber’s efforts, together with Samsons owners quick actions in reporting Samson missing to Ranger Services, ensured that this story did not turn out differently.

Amber has also Foster Cared for several other dogs at different times and is a regular carer for lost and lonely dogs and puppies.
